29 Oct Race Report: ISCA Run 2024
The ISCA Run 2024, celebrating its 9th anniversary, brought together 33 companies for a day filled with competitive spirit, camaraderie, and community engagement. Held at the iconic Singapore Sports Hub, the event featured both a 10km race and a 5km race, catering to a diverse group of participants ranging from competitive runners to leisure joggers and walkers. This year’s theme, “Come Gear Up in Colours,” encouraged participants to don vibrant outfits, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.
Participants enjoyed fine and perfect running conditions, which contributed to an exhilarating atmosphere throughout the day. The weather was ideal, allowing runners to focus on their performance and enjoy the scenic route. Strong performances were seen from the KPMG and EY teams, with many companies opting to wear their corporate colours.
In addition to the races, the event featured a vibrant best-dressed competition, culminating in an exciting on-stage dance-off that showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of participants. The theme of “Come Gear Up in Colours” was evident in the colorful attire of the participants, enhancing the visual spectacle of the day. Fun activities and games were organised, fostering a lively environment that encouraged interaction and teamwork among the companies represented.
The spirit of corporate camaraderie was palpable, with teams supporting one another and celebrating their achievements together. This event not only promoted health and fitness but also strengthened bonds among colleagues and fostered a sense of community within the corporate sector.
MetaSport, as the event organiser, executed the event delivery despite a short operational set-up timeline. Our focus was on elevating the event’s look and feel, and professionalism, with a view to building a base to grow the participant numbers in 2025. New initiatives such as start pen seeding, a new route and improved athlete services achieved this goal.
The ISCA Run 2024 was a resounding success, marked by strong participation, enthusiastic engagement, and a celebration of health and teamwork. The collaboration with the ISCA team was a pleasure, and we look forward to building on this success in future events. Thank you to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this event memorable!
