30 Jan Joining the Club Challenge is a fun way to be a triathlete
We know it is more fun to race (and train) with your friends or teammates; motivate each other when the going gets tough, push each other along in friendly competition, share the joy of reaching your goals and celebrate together.
And here is another motivation: Score points for your training group or club in the Club Challenge and vie for the Club Champions title! You don’t have to be a super athlete to contribute to your club’s victory. Every finisher at the MetaSport races scores points for their club. It does not matter what distance you take part in, as an individual or as a team.
In 2017 it was a tight race between MetaSport and TriEdge who excelled respectively at the Aquathlon and Duathlon. However, it was Team New Moon KH Cycle that took the cup home after a very strong performance in the Triathlon. 2018 starts with an empty score sheet.
In addition, points earned also count towards the Club of the Year competition across all MetaSport events. New Moon KHCycle won also this title and all the perks that come with it, after consolidating their lead at the City60 Bike-Run Challenge. 2018 sees more events count towards Club of the Year competition after the inclusion of the Bintan Triathlon and Ironman 70.3 Bintan events.
Finally, did you know that your club may claim a club space or rent a tent (at cost price) at the races if your club has 10 athletes or more taking part? And have you already submitted your club profile to us on our website? Get out there and show off your club colors with pride.
